The Académie opens its first Piano/Chamber Music Class

The Piano Class is a transmission project for young pianists and several chamber music ensembles, selected through auditions in France and abroad.

Led by renowned pianist Shani Diluka, the Piano Class offers the six participants the chance to deepen their knowledge of musical work and grasp the stakes involved in a career as a professional musician.

The aim is to prepare them for the entrance examinations to the Paris and Lyon CNSMDs, as well as to European music schools (Berlin, Brussels, Geneva, London...).

The first edition will take place during the 2023-2024 school year, with an average of one hour of lessons per month.

Shani Diluka studied at the CNSMD in Paris, from which she graduated unanimously with a First Prize, and joined the highly selective Fondation de Piano de Come, chaired by Martha Argerich.

Guest soloist with numerous orchestras - the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Sinfonia Varsovia, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, the Royal Swedish Orchestra, the Bremen Symphony Orchestra, the Freiburg Symphony Orchestra, the Tonkunstler Orchestra in Vienna, the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra in Japan, etc, She collaborates with great conductors such as Lawrence Foster, Vladimir Fedosseïev, Ludovic Morlot, Eivind Gullberg Jensen and Gábor Takács-Nagy.

Shani Diluka has appeared in recital at London's Wigmore Hall, Verbier Festival, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Vienna Konzerthaus, Zubin Mehta Foundation, Salzburg Mozarteum, Chicago Ravinia Festival, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Venice La Fenice Theatre, Sala de Sao Paulo, Arsenal de Metz, La Philharmonie de Bucarest, Auditorium de Radio France, Tokyo, where she opened La Folle Journée, Schubertiades in Austria, La Folle Journée de Nantes, Russia and Japan, La Roque d'Anthéron, La Philharmonie de Paris...

Her career has been enriched by collaborations with soloists Natalie Dessay, Karine Deshayes and Michel Portal, and with composers W. Rhim, K. Beffa and B. Montovani. Montovani, whose Cinq pièces en hommage à Paul Klee she created, as well as with big names from the world of cinema such as Sophie Marceau, Gérard Depardieu, Hippolyte Girardot and Charles Berling.

Passionate about chamber music, Shani is also a regular partner of renowned ensembles such as the Ébène, Ysaÿe, Prazak, Modigliani and Belcea quartets.

Transmission being one of her major preoccupations, her solo recordings have won numerous awards (Choc de la musique, RTL d'Or, Choix d'Arte, de Mezzo, Vogue Japon, 5 Diapasons, Gramophone, Fanfare USA, Diapason, Musikzen, Arena Award Japon...) and are broadcast on radio stations worldwide.

Following in the footsteps of such legends as Callas, Rostropovitch and Menuhin, she joins the prestigious WARNER Classics label as an exclusive artist.

Shani Diluka is a regular jury member at the CNSMDP in Paris, the CNSMDL in Lyon and the École Normale Supérieure Alfred Cortot. She is also a member of the selection committees of the Gautier Capuçon Foundation, the Société Générale "Un Été en France" Festival, and the Lagardère Foundation.

Shani Diluka is a guest teacher and gives master classes at national conservatories, as well as at the classical music festival "La Folle Journée de Nantes" and its Japanese version "La Folle Journée de Tokyo", at Villa Musica, at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, at the Zubin Mehta Foundation in India or alongside cellist Valentin Erben of the Alban Berg Quartet.

Shani Diluka is regularly featured in Pianiste magazine, as well as in numerous international piano competitions such as the prestigious Cleveland International Piano Competition, and is an Exclusive Artist with Warner Classics.
