Lutherie workshop

From age 12

Created in 1977 on the initiative of Prince Rainier III, the Académie de Musique's lutherie workshop offers students initial training in the techniques of bowed instrument making. Courses are aimed at students who aspire to become professionals, or at a varied and curious public wishing to get closer to the art of lutherie. Classes are given in groups, but there is also individual follow-up.

Each student works on a project adapted to his or her abilities: from the complete construction of a quartet instrument to, for the youngest, an introduction to woodcarving. The number of hours worked depends on each student's objectives.
